Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement; Reports of Government Property (DFARS Case 2005-D015) This link is to an external site
 

SUMMARY: DoD has adopted as final, with changes, an interim rule amending the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to update requirements for reporting of Government property in the possession of DoD contractors. The rule replaces DD Form 1662 reporting requirements with requirements for DoD contractors to electronically submit, to the Item Unique Identification (IUID) Registry, the IUID
data applicable to the Government property in the contractor's possession.

SUMMARY: The General Services Administration (GSA) is announcing Federal Management Regulation (FMR) Bulletin G-02, which extends the previous 12-month deviation granted by GSA Bulletin FMR G-01 regarding conversion to commercial payment processes for postage. The deviation is being extended another 12 months to allow for more time for comments on the proposed amendments that were announced in the proposed rule on mail accountability published in the Federal Register on January 9, 2009 (74 FR 870). SUMMARY: The General Services Administration (GSA) is amending the Federal Management Regulation (FMR) by revising coverage of Motor Vehicle Management. This final rule is a result of comments received on an interim rule published in the Federal Register on May 12, 2006 (71 FR 27636), and from members of the Federal Fleet Policy Council (FEDFLEET). This final rule also incorporates other administrative changes.

January 15, 2009 Federal Travel Regulation; Privately Owned Vehicle Mileage
Reimbursement

SUMMARY: GSA is amending the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) to decrease the mileage reimbursement rates for privately owned automobiles (POA), motorcycles, and airplanes when used for official travel. The new rates reflect the current vehicle operating costs as determined by investigations conducted by GSA. The governing regulation
sets the mileage reimbursement allowance for a POA at $0.55, motorcycles at $0.52, and airplanes at $1.24, when used for official purposes.

SUMMARY: The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council (Councils) have agreed to adopt as final, without change, the interim rule published in the Federal Register at 72 FR 73215 on December 26, 2007. The interim rule amended the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to provide regulations for
purchasing environmentally preferable products and services when acquiring personal computer products such as desktops, notebooks (also known as laptops), and monitors with use of Electronic Products Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) pursuant to the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and Executive Order 13423, ``Strengthening Federal
Environmental, Energy, and Transportation Management.''
